Robert "Drew" Weisbeck, PT, DPT, NCS, FDN-C, FMS founded Delta Physical Therapy after years of watching the insurance-driven clinic model squeeze therapist time down to a fraction of each visit. Patients across Central Virginia deserved a practice where the plan of care is built around their actual movement, not a productivity quota.
Delta operates as a direct-access practice under Virginia law, meaning you don't need a physician referral to start. Care is guided by a Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) whenever a movement-based root cause needs to be identified, and treatment draws from whichever tools actually fit your condition — manual therapy, functional dry needling, neurological re-education, gait training, and more — not a default protocol applied to every visit. The plan follows your problem, not a fixed script.
Life around Lake Anna and the broader Central Virginia region shaped a lot of this practice's thinking. Weekend-warrior injuries don't wait for a Monday appointment, and the area's growing 55+ community deserves a therapist thinking in decades, not just discharge dates. Delta's longevity-minded, concierge approach exists for people who want to stay active — boating, golfing, gardening, keeping up with grandchildren — for as long as possible, and who expect a level of service to match.
Meet Drew
A note from your therapist.
I hold a degree in Biology from Christopher Newport University and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Radford University, along with a board specialization in Neurologic Therapy and more than 10 years of experience. My path has run from inpatient rehabilitation, working with patients recovering from major surgeries, strokes, and other neurological events, to home health therapy, meeting people exactly where they are in both recovery and ability. Along the way I've treated patients across every stage of life — young athletes rebuilding after an injury, working adults managing chronic pain, and older adults regaining independence after a joint replacement or a fall. That range shapes how Delta approaches care today: thorough, adaptable, and built around real life, not just a clinic visit.
Outside the clinic, I have a lifelong background both in team sports and on the water — I played ice hockey through college and have long been an avid boater and fisherman. I'm a husband and father of two young daughters, and I understand firsthand what it takes to stay active and present at every stage of life.
